Spiros Deligiannopoulos

Spiros possesses the natural talent of being familiar with various musical genres and repertoire from baroque to contemporary, instrumental, electronic, piano music, minimal, ambient  and silent films music.

Spiros’s musical talent was discovered at an early age when he began studying music theory and piano performance. His first public performance as a pianist was at the age of 7. Initially he studied Musicology, (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 1995-2000), Music Theory (State Music Academy of Thessaloniki) and Piano (Contemporary Conservatory of Thessaloniki), where he graduated as a piano soloist with a “1st Prize for outstanding distinction”. Thereafter he  moved to London and studied composition (MMus in Composition) at Goldsmiths – University of London (2002). 

He completed his Phd in Composition at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2011). He continued his studies on composition at "Upbeat Music School" (Croatia - 2012) and at Darmstadt International Music School (Germany - 2014). He is  awarded as a musicologist for his work The Hellenic Element in the Ionian Music School (2013).

He is a member of the Greek Composers Union.
